Minneapolis half-heartedly pretended to dismantle deadly BLM “autonomous zone” this morning

Workers fled from a violent mob after three hours

For much of the past year, the intersection of East 38th Street and Chicago Avenue has been a self-declared “autonomous zone.” A so-called twenty-four-hour-a-day Black Lives Matter protest where armed “security” violently prevents law enforcement, emergency workers, and sometimes the media from entering. The streets are barricaded, and the area is referred to as the “Free State of George Floyd.”

Local businesses have been destroyed, and four people have been murdered at the intersection.

On March 13, 2021, Imez Wright, 31, was one of two people shot inside the BLM autonomous protest zone. Wright was killed. The shooting happened late at night while Wright was said to be patrolling the grounds. Wright, 31, was a local leader of the Black Lives Matter movement and was supposed to be one of the people in charge of security at the “autonomous zone.”

A shot spotter detected the gunshots, and police were dispatched. However, BLM & Antifa protesters blocked police and other emergency workers from entering the zone. The suspect, a Black male in a cream-colored suburban, has yet to be identified or apprehended. BLM & Antifa have actively prevented a proper investigation and refuse to cooperate with the police.

Wright was the fourth Black victim to be murdered inside the autonomous BLM zone. On June 19, 2020, Dameon Chambers was fatally shot during a Black Lives Matter “Juneteenth” demonstration. On July 5, 2020, Leneesha Columbus and her unborn child were fatally shot and killed. The baby was due within a few weeks.

Numerous other people have been seriously injured in attacks in the hyper-violent square. All while BLM sells merchandise and waves a corporate “VISA & MasterCard Accepted” flag.

Agape Movement was hired to assist city work crews.

Finally, and a year of false promises and mounting public anger, the city hired a left-wing non-profit called the “Agape Movement” to remove the barricades. Agape showed up with city workers, apparently with no police protection, at 4:30 AM this morning. However, after three hours, Agape and city workers fled from a violent mob. It is unclear if concrete barricades were even hauled away from the scene or only moved to the sides of the road. A photojournalist for Kare 11 was also assaulted.

BLM and Antifa immediately began constructing new makeshift barricades by blocking the roads with cars, dumpsters, and pieces of fencing.

Essentially the city of Minneapolis conducted street theater to pretend like they are doing something.
