September 15, 2026 – Gage Weida, 31, Los Angeles, California – Latino on White – Felony vehicular killing
LAPD says habitual drug offender Bailee Rios triggered a chain reaction that killed five people while driving in the wrong direction while high on drugs.
Rios slammed in to an LA bus killing Daniel Castillo, 46, and Gage Weida, 31, while hospitalizing six others. Rios has been charged with full murder for these deaths and given an unusually high $4 million bond.
Then a media helicopter covering the crashed fell out of the sky killing crew members Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw.
Wreckage from the helicopter then killed pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia, 29.
