Benjamin Hutchison, 20
 

June 18, 2026 – Benjamin Hutchison, 20, Barberton. Ohio – Black on White – Relationship unknown

Victim was shot while driving his car. Two other people in the car were injured by the car hitting a utility pole after Hutchinson was shot.

Perps are classified 15 and 16 year-old from both Barberton & Akron.

While Barberton is only 9% Black overall, the actual shooting took place in the Blackest part of the suburb because it was right next to a sprawling LIHTC/Section 8 housing complex run by the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authorities.
