Five arrested in Long Beach for stealing fire hydrants

The Long Beach Police Department [LBPD] announced that five suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of multiple fire hydrants. The LBPD says all five had bail set at $20k. However, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department inmate information center [LASD] shows that four of the suspects have had their bail increased. The LASD also shows other cases for some of these suspects.

Darain Dove, Black male, 37, from Los Angeles – knowingly receiving stolen property, entering a posted property, possession of unlawful paraphernalia

Marissa Hernandez, Latino female, 42, from Los Angeles – receiving stolen property, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, loitering
LASD lists four other cases from 2021 & 2022.

Bradley Schreiner, White male, 61, from Long Beach – grand theft

New fire hydrants cost about $1,000. Used hydrants sell for about $150 on eBay.
