Black teacher sues Beverly Hills USD over students supporting Trump

Entering the "ghetto lottery"

Bella Ivory is a Black female teacher at Beverly Hills High School who teaches “fashion design” and hosts a Black racial activist club called the Black Student Union [BSU].

Ivory says that while conducting a meeting at the BSU, students paraded down the hallway cheering for Donald Trump’s election victory. When they passed by the room where her activist meeting was being held, she says the White Trump-supporting students were “frightening” and “looked like KKK.”

Her lawyer, Brad Gage, says he is filing a lawsuit on her behalf for “discrimination, harassment, retaliation, racial comments, and physical threats.”

However, Bella Ivory was recorded threatening students on November 8th! Students allege that this is not even the first time she has threatened them. After being recorded threatening students, she apparently stopped going to work, claiming it was too stressful.

An unnamed Black male teacher at the school is also joining the lawsuit.

Beverly Hills High is listed as:

9% Hispanic
6% Two or more races
3% Black

Beverly Hills High performs at above average on all standardized tests.
