On October 24th, thirty so-called “progressive” Democratic House members signed a letter to Joe Biden about the Russo-Ukrainian War. The letter sides with Ukraine, but also urges Joe Biden to pursue peace talks and a negotiated peace. All six members of “The Squad” had signed the letter.
The establishment left immediately denounced the letter and claimed the signers were siding with Putin and MAGA Republicans. Signers began denouncing their signature within hours. After one day, the entire letter was withdrawn.
Squad leader AOC has been repeatedly targeted by protests by left-wing anti-war activists.
