The “Bare Foot Island Lady” is a Jamaican woman on Tik Tok who runs Rustic Mountain Living in Hanover, Jamaica. She rents out cottages in a rural area of Jamaica. Initially, she announced that she would no longer accept three-day rentals and would only rent them out for longer periods and with a pre-screening process. She said this was because of “problems with Americans.”
When pressed for more details, she said that Black Americans are habitually the worst customers out of the entire global tourist community coming to Jamaica. She explained that they are entitled and disrespectful. Immediately, Black American militants began attacking her across multiple social media platforms.
She only doubled down and made another video saying there is a massive problem with the culture of Black Americans.
