On May 26th, an unnamed White male victim was savagely beaten by a mob of Black perpetrators at Terrance Park in Andover, MN. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Department released a video of the attack.
This is a small neighborhood park in an outer suburb of Minneapolis. The US Census lists Andover as 3% Black and 88% non-Hispanic White. The park lies in census tract 050609, which is 4% Black and 87% non-Hispanic White.
This highlights just how common Black on White mob violence has become. These attacks are even occurring in areas with very few Black residents.
