Never let a good crises go to waste. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is just another opportunity for the IEA to push an anti-fossil fuel agenda. This agenda existed long before Russia invaded.
The IEA’s 10 point immediate action plan to “fight Russia:”
- Worldwide reduction of speed limits
- Work from home.
- No Car Sundays!
- Increase the use of public buses and bicycles
- Alternate vehicles (whatever this means)
- Share vehicles
- Make trucking more aerodynamic (I guess)
- Use trains instead of planes
- Cancel business meetings and just use zoom
- Buy an electric car
