21 people shot within two hours in downtown Milwaukee

City enacts emergency curfew

As a Buck vs. Celtics game ended, there was a triple shooting in the entertainment district in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There was another shooting shortly after that. Then, less than two hours later, another seventeen people were shot despite a massive police presence.

All gunshot victims are expected to survive. Five of the wounded are considered suspects. They are all males aged 20, 21, 28, 29, and 30.

There were seven female victims ages 16, 18, 18, 20, 26, 35, and 47. There are another nine male victims ages 15, 18, 20, 20, 23, 23, 30, 33, and 40.

Another six male suspects were arrested aged 19, 20,  20, 20, 23, and 24.

The Milwaukee police department censored the race of the suspects. However, the shootings appear to have involved Black street gangs. Milwaukee enacted an emergency curfew in the entertainment district.
